At RCCC, we believe that the environment plays a vital role in fostering successful learning experiences for young children. We strive to create a space that feels homelike, reflects the diversity of the children who learn there, and is beautiful, clean, and safe. We also embrace a "yes environment," where children are encouraged to follow their curiosities and explore in ways that make sense to them. While we maintain appropriate boundaries and expectations, this approach fosters positive decision-making, a sense of control, and promotes autonomy and independence.
A "yes environment" strengthens teacher-child relationships, minimizes unnecessary teacher interventions, enhances authentic learning experiences, and supports children’s growing sense of self.
Our classrooms are shared with MiddUCC under a collaborative use agreement. We respect the shared nature of the space and ensure that both RCCC and the Church feel connected to it. As part of this, we will not remove materials from the walls, and all religious materials are the property of the Church and will not be referenced to children attending RCCC.
